IN PRINT- art project by Matjaž Borovničar

As the curator of the exhibition Saša Bučan wrote: »… In his latest project IN PRINT, Matjaž Borovničar provocatively seduces the viewer on the path of reflection on a contemporary social phenomenon – theft of identity. That the problem does not limit him only to the theft of artistic identity, but generalizes the problem to an individual within society – he invites two other participating artists to his work, who with their works within the artist’s project – installation – are the ones who steal. This time it is Borovničar’s fingerprint, which the author thinks of as a unique imprint that is final, eternal, unchangeable for each individual; which occurs and persists from the birth of the child to the end of the individual. A fingerprint marks an individual, it is his autograph, his uniqueness, a uniqueness that marks only one and only person…”

He collaborates with guests, artists Miha Pečar and Emilija Podjavoršek in the Theft of Artistic Identity project.
