Rudolf Maister Day
Rudolf Maister Day is a Slovenian national holiday celebrated on November 23. On this day in 1918, Rudolf Maister and his army disarmed the Maribor German security guard and disbanded it, and with this event he annexed a large part of the Slovenian ethnic and speech area of Styria and Carinthia to Slovenia. It has been celebrated as a national holiday in Slovenia since 2005.
You are cordially invited to free tours of the permanent and temporary exhibition in the Birthplace of Rudolf Maister at Šutna 23 in Kamnik.
