Zaprice Castle Museum and administration
When: 17.09.2021, from 18:00 to 19:00

The Intermunicipal Museum Kamnik, at Zaprice Castle, will host a round table on the Carinthian Plebiscite 1920 on Friday, 17 September 2021, at 6 pm: a look into the past and present.

We planned it last year on the occasion of the centenary of the Carinthian plebiscite, but we did not succeed due to the problems brought by the covid. The round table complements the exhibition at the Birth House of Rudolf Maister Carinthian Plebiscite 1920 in literature and music, which we set up last year.

The round table will be attended by: Janez Stergar, historian, president of the Club of Carinthian Slovenes in Ljubljana; dr. Danijel Grafenauer, historian, research associate at the Institute for Ethnic Issues in Ljubljana; mag. Rudi Vouk, a lawyer from Klagenfurt and a national politician, Nanti Olip, president of the Assembly of National Representatives at the National Council of Carinthian Slovenes.

In the conversation, they will look at the time 101 years ago, when the plebiscite took place, and present the current state of Slovenian Carinthia in Austria: in language, culture, politics, economy. everyday life and foreboding of the future of the Slovene minority, which has been living separately from its native nation for more than 100 years.

The discussion will be led by Alenka Juvan.
