European Cultural Heritage Days 2019 CULTURAL HERITAGE WEEK
As part of the Cultural Heritage Week 2019, a music guided tour of the Ferry Souvan 100 exhibition will be organized. The texts of Ferry Souvan for the first Avsenik bestsellers have been indelibly etched into the Slovenian consciousness, mentioning Evening on Roblek, On the Bridge and many others. His share in the birth of the golden age of Slovenian song is invaluable. Already in the fifties, he humorously produced some of the world’s bestsellers: we are still singing and whistling about My Black Horse, which has been convincingly interpreted in Slovenian by Rafko Irgolič. He also contributed some very popular songs on the early festivals of Slovenian pop. He paid his homage to Kamnik with his swing instrumental song Girl from Kamnik and with the text for the performance of Boris Frank Ensemble. This year’s guide to the FERRY SOUVAN 100 exhibition will be dedicated primarily to his musical creation.
