Public guided tour of the Slovenian majolica exhibition
The joint exhibition of the National Museum of Slovenia and the Intermunicipal Museum Kamnik Slovenska majolica is dedicated to a wine made of white-ring ceramics. It has a special status in the Slovene tradition – it has become, so to speak, a mythological object, closely connected with the identity of the Slovene nation, as it is also sung by folk songs as a symbol of good and happy society. The exhibition covers the history of majolica, its production, ceramics factories with an emphasis on Kamnik production and the artistic and aesthetic components of majolica.
The exhibition will be co-authored by Saša Bučan and Marko Kumer.
