Presentation of the comic Our Maister

The comic book has again come to the Slovenian literary scene, and it wants to present more serious themes, the past and famous personalities more in the drawing and a little less in words. Thus, Ivan Cankar and Ivan Rob and the famous Maister fighter in Carinthia Franjo Malgaj got their comic strip; Slovenian classics in comics were also published. And now it is the most famous Slovenian general who, as a rich Renaissance personality with many talents, is certainly a tempting character to be portrayed and presented on comic book pages. The comic Our Maister, which is also unusual for its appearance, with hardcover as a book, has recently been published by the Miš publishing house. They wrote about it: “A colourful, tense and historically credible comic strip about the national hero Rudolf Maister is offered for reading to young people and adults.” However, the authors will explain how it was created: the text writer dr. Mihael Glavan, and the one who drew it, illustrator Damijan Stepančič.
