Peter Pavel Glavar in comics

You are invited to the presentation of the booklet Peter Pavel Glavar in comics and the opening of the exhibition at the Komenda Moste Primary School.

In 2021, we commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Peter Pavel Glavar (1721–1784), a priest, educator, businessman and benefactor. In order to bring the life and work of this great Komenda man closer to the youngest generations, with the cooperation of the Municipality of Komenda, the Peter Pavle Glavar Institution and the Komenda Moste Primary School, the idea of ​​presenting a life story in the form of a comic came up.

Under the mentorship of Tina Kosi and Martin Ramoveš, excerpts from Glavar’s life were created by pupils: Patricija Kern, Klara Ferme, Teja Jeraj, Lana Bučar, Hana Bertoncelj, Vid Peklaj and Nina Resnik. In order for everyone to learn something new, a biography with an explanation based on pictures by the author Štefan Petkovšek is added at the end of the comic. The publication of the booklet was financed by the Municipality of Komenda.

Members of the drama group of the Komenda Moste Primary School under the direction of Katarina Marin Hribar will perform in the cultural program.
