National Costume in the Works of Miha Maleš

You are invited to the opening of the exhibition National Costume in the Works of Miha Maleš at the Gallery Miha Maleš.

Miha Maleš (1903–1987), painter, graphic artist, draftsman, publisher and photographer, made numerous lithographs and monotypes of national costumes in his very extensive creative work. The graphics represent traditional costumes and clothing heritage, which the artist noticed on his travels through the territory of the former Yugoslavia in the 1950s, creating an authentic artistic expression marked by a light and elegant line and rich color.

The curator of the exhibition is Saša Bučan. The exhibition will be on view until the end of September 2021.
