Last public guided tour of the Slovenian Majolica exhibition
The exhibition Slovenian Majolica, prepared by the Intermunicipal Museum Kamnik in cooperation with the National Museum of Slovenia, closes on 21 May 2022.
You are invited to the last public guided tour of the exhibition, which will be led by Irena Radej.
After graduating from the Secondary School of Design in 1978, Irena Radej got a job at Svit in Kamnik as a painter of decorative ceramics. She studied with the legendary ceramic painter and teacher of young generations of painters – with Marica Ftičar: Over the years, Irena has developed her own recognizable style of painting. In 1995, she took over the management of the painting workshop and decisively opened it to the public – with exhibitions and collaborations of established painters. Despite her efforts, the production of painted ceramics was completed in 2008. Irena Radej successfully continues the tradition of painted ceramics in the Cultural and Artistic Association House of Ceramics – Why Not Majolika, founded in 2014.
