Guards of the Karavanke  - Lojze Ude and the battles for the northern border

At the last Maister’s evening before the summer holidays, Blaž Torkar presented an interesting book of the Guards of the Karavanke – Lojze Ude and the battles for the northern border. It publishes texts and also novelties about the battles for the northern border, which for the first time reveal in detail the role played by the lawyer, publicist and historian Lojze Ude. These collected contributions were created as the results of the one-day symposium in 2011, dedicated to Lojze Ude. An important piece to the historical picture of the battles for the northern border in the Karavanke area is added to some of the first published memories of two officers: lieutenant Franz Heinrichar and artillery captain Herman Kunstl.

Scientific monography was issued by the General Rudolf Maister Society Kranj with the help of the Union of General Maister and others. Editorial work was shared by dr. Miha Šimac and dr. Blaž Torkar, who will present the book.
