A CONVERSATION WITH MOTORCYCLE CHAMPION JANKO ŠTEFE
Kamnik Road Races and Janko Štefe.
Hosted by Marko Kumer, author of the exhibition.

Janko Štefe was one of the most recognized motorcycle racers in Europe between 1960 and 1970. In the 50cc and 125cc categories, he regularly won Yugoslav national championships and was the first Slovenian to score points in prestigious World Cup races. He competed as a member of the Kamnik Automobile and Motorcycle Club.
On the occasion of his 80th birthday, we will look back on his successful racing career together with him and the author of the temporary exhibition, Marko Kumer. We will revisit his experiences with Tomos racing bikes and relive the era when races were held on regular roads in front of ten thousand spectators, with 50cc bikes reaching dizzying speeds-even on the streets of Kamnik.
