WHY GRAPHICS?
Prof. Črtomir Frelih and the younger generation of graphic artists
The conversation will be moderated by Saša Bučan.
The gallery evening with a conversation on the topic of graphics will be attended by: Črtomir Frelih, professor at the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana in the department of art pedagogy, and graphic artists Alja Košar, Oliver Pilić, Gloria Ana Lupus and Pika Gačnik.
At the exhibition Spaces of Emptiness, four artists whose main media for artistic creation are various graphic techniques, the younger generation of graphic artists will wonder about the importance of graphics in the field of fine art today, about why graphics and how it shaped their path or nor art studies at various art institutions.

ROK ZELENKO – The colorfulness of everyday life

Rok Zelenko comes from the well-known Zelenko artistic family, where he was surrounded by art all his life through the painting and graphic works of his father Karel Zelenko and the sculptural works of his mother Sonja Rauter Zelenko. This time, works from different periods and cycles of the artist will be on display, touching both reality, events that marked the world and the artist, the imaginary and philosophical world.

We will put Maister’s heritage on display, appearing online in the virtual Maister route, a project created in 2021 by 15 cultural institutions and the Maister family. At the exhibition, visitors will be able to view valuable objects and materials, such as Maister’s books from his famous library, his letters, documents, manuscripts… and listen to their stories.
