Ferdo Mayer – The language of colour
Curator of the exhibition Saša Bučan.
An art exhibition by the academic painter Ferdo Mayer entitled The Language of Colour presents selected works from the artist’s extensive oeuvre. Born in Maribor, he is known to many Kamnik residents as an art pedagogue between 1954 and 1978, when he devoted himself completely to his artistic path and gained the status of a freelance artist.

Book presentation
With knowledge to the stars – Slovenian School for Nepalese Mountain Guides
The bilingual monograph is an exceptional story, woven over four decades by many Slovenian instructors, doctors and volunteers on the one hand, and Nepalese, who helped them to a better life in this way.
The book was published by Planinska založba Planinske zveze Slovenije.
The presentation will be led by Mira Papež. Kamnik instructors and book editor Mojca Volkar Trobevšek will also take part in the presentation.

Museum – Zaprice castle
Dr. Igor Sapač: History of the Zaprice manor and its building development
Dr. Igor Sapač, architect, art historian and castelologist, will present the rich architectural history of the Zaprice mansion, which can be traced back to the beginning of the 14th century. In the middle of the 16th century Jurij pl. Lamberg built the mansion in a new Renaissance style. The last major alterations to the mansion took place towards the end of the 18th century. A great novelty is the digital displays of the main building development phases, made by dr. Igor Sapač and mag. Sanja Spindler.

Guided tour of the new visiting exhibition Kärnten / Carinthia (undivided) country – 100 years after the plebiscite.
The authors of the exhibition are the civil initiative SKUP, the Club of Slovenian Students in Carinthia and the artist Karel Vouk. Coordinator Alenka Juvan.
Sonja Kert Wakounig and Rudi Vouk will lead you through the exhibition, which vividly tells about the past and present life of the Slovene national community in Carinthia.
