5 YEARS – VIEW GALLERY 2017-2022
The group exhibition will feature as many as 29 names of artists who paved the way for the View gallery over the past five years. The exhibition is accompanied by a rich exhibition catalogue.
Musicians and artists, Martin Ramoveš and Miha Erič, will enliven the opening.
Curator Saša Bučan will present the artists.

GREGOR ANTOLIČIČ: HABSBURG ON THE MEXICAN THRONE
Dr. Gregor Antoličič will present the biography of the Austrian Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian entitled MAXILIMILIAN, emperor by Napoleon’s grace. The book is written by dr. Antoličič designed it as an interesting story about a nobleman of the second half of the 19th century, and added a section about the Slovenian “Mexicans”. And yes, this is the Archduke Maximilian who (between 1856 and 1860) had Miramar Castle built in Trieste, which still attracts many visitors today.

6 p.m. – opening of the event with the performance of an acrobatic group
6.15 – 7.15 p.m. – Children’s workshop: playing old children games
6.15 – 6.30 p.m. – screening of the film KAMNIK MUSEUM SUMMER NIGHTS – 20 YEARS
6.30 – 7.15 p.m. – screening of films MOSTLY SIXTIES.
7:30 p.m. – opening of the exhibition and book by Marko Kumer and colleagues Saša Bučan, Tatjana Drovenik Čalič, Alenka Juvan, Irina Mitov, Zora Torkar and Janja Železnikar VESELO V KAMNIK. MAINLY THE SIXTY YEARS. (JOYFULL TO KAMNIK. MOSTLY SIXTIES).
8:30 p.m.: TRIBUTE TO THE KAMNIKTITIS – HOMMAGE A KAMNIKTITI – concert by Frenk Vengust and Goran Završnik with guests.
10.– 10.15 p.m. – screening of the film KAMNIK MUSEUM SUMMER NIGHTS – 20 YEARS
10.15 – 11 p.m. – screening of films MOSTLY SIXTIES.
