Maister’s Evening: presentation of our comic book OUR MAISTER
Talk about comic book creation with the author dr. Mihael Glavan and Damijan Stepančič.
A colourful, tense and historically credible comic strip about the national hero Rudolf Maister. The book was published by the Publishing House Miš.
We will spend the winter school holidays creatively at the Intermunicipal Museum Kamnik: with a Time machine, we will go back in time and pour, twist and create with wire, and we will not forget the carnival days.
Program:
Museum – Zaprice Castle, Muzejska pot 3, Kamnik
Wednesday, February 19, 2020, 10.00 – 12.00
Let’s cast late-bronze objects and make wire jewelry, a creative workshop
In prehistoric Europe, the symbol of the cross is common. The cross appears in the circle as a solar symbol in the Late Bronze Age. It means the eternal circulation of matter, energy, goodness, light and life. A similar symbol is the spiral. It illustrates the life cycle – from birth to death, it also means eternity.
Miha Maleš Gallery, Glavni trg 2, Kamnik
Friday, February 21, 2020, 10.00 – 12.00
It’s coming Carnival time!, a creative workshop
Winter is a rebellion, but carnival schemes repel it with vibrant colours and madness. Without carnival masks, the transition from winter to spring cannot be imagined. We, too, will prepare ourselves for the repose of winter and carnival, and make face masks of various materials and mobile with insane carnival decorations.
The workshops are for children between 6 and 12 years of age. Price for each workshop is € 2.00, for two workshops € 3.00.
