Ferdo Mayer – The language of colour
Wednesday, December 1, 2021
The exhibition will be on view from December 1, 2021 to May 27, 2022.
Curator of the exhibition Saša Bučan.
Ferdo Mayer: “… Colour means more to me than composition. Colour has to say what I see, feel and want. Let it characterize not only the exterior, but emotion, thought, longing, joy and sorrow, evil and good. These are completely individual colours of individual characters. Every person has their own colours, which may mark them more than anything else.”
An online exhibition will also be prepared on the MMK website.
View Gallery, Glavni trg 2, Kamnik
Petja Kolenko- In pictures and words
Thursday, December 16, 2021
The exhibition will be on view from December 16, 2021.
Curator of the exhibition Saša Bučan
Saša Bučan: “As in everyday life, in her artistic expression and choice of art techniques, Petja Kolenko is marked by a tendency to reuse, recycle various waste materials and used works of art. She processes these in various techniques, and most often she uses the collage technique. In recent years, it has been intensively engaged in the recycling of waste plastics … She draws ideas for the motives of her works from the lyrics of popular songs, the content of which she translates artistically as a literal illustration or depicts according to personal experience. “
