Photographer Andrej Perko got the inspiration for the present works from the moving personal story of the Slovenian literary historian dr. Franc Koblar (1889-1975), who was a soldier in the Austro-Hungarian army in the First World War and wrote down his experiences of the war exhaustively in a personal diary.
