Archaeological excavations at the Main Square in Kamnik in 2018
The summer of 2018 was marked by the closure of the Street of Rudolf Maister and the Main Square in Kamnik, where archaeologists were diligently digging. Is there anything left that would not ruin the old infrastructure? What are the archaeological layers hidden in you? What was the former town hall on the Main Square? What was her inventory? What lay in the abandoned 200-years old well?
Gregor Gruden, the responsible archeologist of the Avgusta Team, which in the summer of 2018 led archaeological excavations, will answer to a number of questions. Gregor Gruden belongs to the younger generation of archaeologists. He lives in Nevlje near Kamnik. He studied at the Department of Archeology and graduated in 2016 with the task: Prehistoric settlement finds from Savska cesta in Kranj.
