Joint project and exhibition of the FF in Ljubljana, the Scientific Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia and the Public Agency for Research on Life along Occupational Borders in Slovenia from 1941 to 1945.

Dr. Zvonka Zupanic Slavec: Spanish flu

The period of the First World War was characterized by the Spanish flu, which was described by Slovenian newspapers as the “unknown plague” that is killing the population. It went sour in the years 1918-1920, according to the World Health Organization, some 50 million were killed. The Spanish flu has killed three times more people than the First World War itself.
