Miha Maleš - From the Path

Kindly invited to open the exhibition of Mihe Maleš – From the path, which will be on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at 6 pm in the Gallery Pavilion NOB in Tržič.
Miha Maleš (1903-1987), painter, graphic artist, publisher and photographer, wrote in the history of Slovenian fine art as one of the central and all-round personalities. With a guest exhibition of the Intermunicipal Museum Kamnik, Gallery Miha Maleš, which holds over 2600 works of his art, we wish to present him as an exceptional graphic artist, with the emphasis on colour monotype. Motifically, in this graphic technique, he travelled across Europe in 1951 and in the colourful cities of the Mediterranean in the years 1957 and 1958, and created an authentic artistic expression, marked by a light and elegant line and rich colouring.
The artist will present Saša Bučan, curator of the Gallery Miha Maleš. Academic musician Klemen Smolej on the guitar and prof. Jan Ulčnik on the accordion.
The exhibition will be on display until March 21, 2019.
