This documentary explores the life and remarkable creative legacy of Vlasta Kopač (June 3, 1913, Žiri – April 27, 2006, Ljubljana), an architect, conservator, illustrator, mountaineer, mountain rescuer, and protector of natural and cultural heritage. Kopač left a significant mark on the Kamnik municipality, which is why the documentary was produced by the Medobčinski muzej Kamnik.

The film is divided into two parts: the first part portrays his challenging yet extraordinarily rich and active life journey, while the second part is dedicated to his great love – Velika Planina.

The documentary premiered at the museum on October 26, 2023. Since then, live screenings have been held for audiences at Plečnik’s House in Ljubljana, the Cinema Hall in Žiri, the Miha Maleš Gallery in Kamnik, the Slovenian Alpine Museum in Mojstrana, multiple times at the Domžalski dom on Velika Planina, the Triglav National Park in Bohinj, and in Skodla on Velika Planina.

The authors of the documentary are Janja Železnikar and Andreja Humar Gruden.
