Rudolf Maister Day

On November 23rd, we celebrate Rudolf Maistre Day, a national holiday which, in memory of Maister’s courageous act in 1918, has been celebrated since 2005. We especially remember the actions and decisions of Rudolf Maister this year, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth and 90th years of death:

• You are invited to free tours of the permanent and occasional exhibitions of Maister and his native Kamnik for individual visitors in the Birthplace of Rudolf Maister
• MMK and the Institute for Tourism and Sport Kamnik also invite you to a free public guided tour of In the Footsteps of Rudolf Maister and the First World War in Kamnik at 10 a.m. The start of the leadership is on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10 a.m. in front of Rudolf Maister’s Birthplace.
