IN PRINT- art project by Matjaž Borovničar

In the View gallery, we are opening on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 6 pm, an art project IN PRINT by Matjaž Borovničar, to which he invited the participating artists, Emilija Podjavoršek and Miha Pečar. The curator of the exhibition is Saša Bučan.

»… In his latest project IN PRINT, Matjaž Borovničar provocatively seduces the viewer on the path of reflection on a contemporary social phenomenon – theft of identity. That the problem does not limit him only to the theft of artistic identity, but generalizes the problem to an individual within society – he invites two other participating artists to his work, who with their works within the artist’s project – installation – are the ones who steal. This time it is Borovničar’s fingerprint, which the author thinks of as a unique imprint that is final, eternal, unchangeable for each individual; which occurs and persists from the birth of the child to the end of the individual. A fingerprint marks an individual, it is his autograph, his uniqueness, a uniqueness that marks only one and only person…”
